May Day Treats

Here in Australia it’s Autumn (Fall) so it’s odd to be celebraring a Beltane festival that for us downunder should be celebrating in the Spring; however, here is a story about Beltane for our brotheren in the Northern Hemisphere.

May Day — May 1 — is Friday and is generally celebrated as the advent of spring, being halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.

Origins of the Easter Bunny and the Evolution of Paganism

I love Easter, especially the chocolate eating (confessed chocoholic).

This morning my partner wanted some supplies from Bakers Delight, I felt like a pie myself.  When I walked in the place was swamped with Hot Cross Buns and other goodies but I pulled away from temptation.

Standing at the cashier I gave the server my order which included a potato pie; however I was told by a lady behind me that I shouldn’t be eating a pie because it is Good Friday.
